Introducing our biggest update ever
Our goal at Rapchat has always been to give people around the world the ability to create music from their phones while connecting with others around the world. Whether you’re an artist, producer, or someone that just wants to have fun with friends — we want to provide you with the tools you need to make something awesome and we could not be more proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish in pursuing that goal. To date we’ve:
- Generated 200+ million plays across creations
- Enabled people to create 50+ million raps
- Consistently ranked top 50 in the app store w/an average rating of 4.5+
- Showcased 15,000+ beats from tens of thousands of producers worldwide
And while we’re incredibly proud of the accomplishments — we now see a huge opportunity to GO BIG and make another majorly impactful change to the product. The change will be in the form of adding video to the creation process along with other visual enhancements like stickers, images, drawings, and more.
Our goal is to give creators more tools and mediums to enable a greater level of creativity while providing listeners with a better consumption experience. To accommodate the new visual content, we have also redesigned the interface and experience to be even smoother and more intuitive.
We believe this update will increase the success of the creations both on and off platform and strengthen the amazing community that we have.
